Quality Management

Since about 30 years, PHYTEC has developed and produced microprocessor-based solutions for the global, industrial embedded market. Clearly defined processes secure our knowledge and enable us to trace individual components back to the source.

Test Procedures

All products are subject to an AOI test as well as applicable boundary scan and functionality tests. All test results are saved in a SQL data base. We can assign test results as well as production orders to all of our products using a 2D Datamatrix code. Upon demand we also offer ICT or flying probe tests as well as detailed reports per device.

REACH/ChemRRV

The European directive concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical Substances (REACH), EC No. 1907/2006, has been in effect since June 1, 2007. Its objective is the minimization of environmental and health risks related to the use of chemicals.

Under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions, our products do not release any chemicals and based on the current information we have on hand, our products do not contain any substances of very high concern (SVHC) based on the list of potential candidates issued by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) with regard to REACH and the list of prohibited materials in reference to ChemRRV.

We have compiled a register of substances, that lists all substances and compositions we use and that we check for compliance based on the above directives.

We are also in close contact with our suppliers to constantly inquire about the registration status of the substances they use and the potential impact of any changes to the list of candidates.

Conflict Materials

In 2010, the US Congress adopted legislation on “conflict minerals” pursuant to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. This section aims to reduce violent conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and bordering countries where such potential Conflict Minerals – tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold – are extracted.

PHYTEC is aware of its responsibility towards the environment, safety as well as health and human rights. We realize that our business behavior impacts the environment as well as society. Phytec does not directly import any minerals or Conflict Minerals, nor do we directly process such minerals. Moreover, PHYTEC only uses electronic components, Printed Circuit Boards and electronic assemblies from reputable, global manufacturers as well as trusted distributors.

At this point we don't know of any suppliers, subcontractors as well as components that include conflict materials in accordance with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. We have put together a statement while we continue to engage in proactive and comprehensive due diligence and strategies to best ensure comprehensive Conflict Minerals compliance.
