Product details
NXP i.MX 95 for Vision and Edge AI
The NXP i.MX 95 combines up to six Arm Cortex-A55 cores with Arm Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M33 cores, an eIQ® Neutron NPU, and powerful graphics, camera, and communication capabilities. Two 4-lane MIPI CSI interfaces and an integrated ISP provide the technical foundation for high-resolution multi-camera systems. This makes the processor particularly suitable for machine vision, visual inspection, camera-based robotics, edge AI systems, and demanding HMI applications.
phyFLEX-i.MX 95x FPSC as an integrated SoM
The phyFLEX-i.MX 95x FPSC integrates the NXP i.MX 95 as a quad- or hexa-core variant with LPDDR5 memory and other system components required for module operation. The 45 mm × 48 mm FTGA solderable module is designed for a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C and is particularly suitable for industrial environments. Its size M FPSC footprint provides the pins defined in the feature set. This allows the processor's relevant camera, display, and communication functions to be integrated into multi-camera, machine vision, and edge systems.
Areas of Application:
Scalable platform through FPSC
Upgrading to the phyFLEX-i.MX 95x FPSC module is particularly worthwhile when integrating more computing power, new technologies, or additional technical features into an existing carrier board design. Thanks to PHYTEC's FPSC standard, all phyFLEX Gamma modules are compatible with each other. This not only saves on the costs of redesigning the carrier board but also reduces development risks and shortens time-to-market.
Software ecosystem
PHYTEC provides a Yocto-based Linux environment with a Board Support Package (BSP) for the SoM. This includes a hardware-optimized software base as well as drivers and configurations for supported interfaces and peripherals. Complementary offerings for security, update and device management, and software lifecycle management support the integration and long-term maintenance of the customer-specific system.
