Full support of the Hailo AI chip
The Hailo AI chips are now also supported in the Linux BSPs of Phytec's System on Modules (SOM) and Single Board Computers (SBC). Customers can integrate the chips as modules for functional models and prototypes via M.2 or miniPCIe, allowing them to quickly and easily begin development. For series production, Phytec handles the design-in of Hailo chips into custom electronics. Phytec also advises and supports its customers on AI projects from the initial idea to the finished product. This includes comprehensive training for developers, which Phytec offers as part of the phyAcademy.
Yves Astein, Head of Product Management at Phytec says:
"Hailo AI chips offer incredibly high and fast computing power combined with low power consumption and heat generation. This aligns with our vision of ideal embedded components. Together with a large library of AI models and developer tools, they enable our customers to develop quickly and cost-effectively. We are delighted to be partners with this innovative company."
Andreas Lambauer, Sales Director Hailo Europe, is also pleased about the collaboration:
"Our AI chips make deep learning applications more efficient, effective, and cost-effective. We are very pleased to have found an experienced partner in Phytec for integration into embedded hardware, offering both kits for rapid development start and custom electronics for professional series products."
World's most powerful AI processor
Hailo-8 is currently the world's most powerful AI processor for edge devices. It offers 26 TOPS (tera operations per second) of computing power and, with its tiny footprint, can be ideally integrated into embedded hardware. Hailo-8 enables real-time and ultra-low-latency applications. It uses a patented dataflow architecture that enables ultrafast, parallel processing of multi-stage AI models. With its extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, the Hailo-8 AI chip is suitable for professional series products and industrial applications.
