The phyCORE-AM64x SOM is Insert-ready communication module for Industrial Control and Smart Manufacturing applications and it is is a robust and reliable embedded solution designed for headless industrial communication systems. Due to the heterogeneous architecture of the TI AM64x processor, you can run the majority of your application using Linux and off load critical components to the specialized low latency best-in-class real-time coresThe 50 mm x 37 mm SOM has an extensive 280-pin interconnect supporting common factory communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, UART, I2C but also automation specific interfaces such as EPWM, ECAP, and EQEP.
Rapid Development Kit
In conjunction with the launch of the phyCORE-AM65x SOM, PHYTEC also introduced the phyCORE-AM65x Rapid Development Kit – a new kit that helps customers get started on integrating PHYTEC hardware and software with customer software and product designs. With the launch of the phyCORE-AM65x SOM and development kit, PHYTEC offers a complete line of high-quality, reliable, and scalable products based on the Texas Instruments AM65x processors.
Initial samples for the phyCORE-AM65x System on Module will be available in Q1 / Q2 2019 for selected projects
