phyCORE-i.MX 91/93: An energy-efficient SoM in two variants
The phyCORE-i.MX 91/93 can be equipped with either the i.MX 91 or the i.MX 93 from NXP Semiconductors' i.MX 9 family. Thanks to NXP's innovative Energy Flex architecture, the module offers high computing performance with low energy consumption with both processors. The integrated EdgeLock® Secure Enclave enables security features such as tamper detection, secure boot, and a simplified certification process. Measuring only 36 mm x 36 mm, the module facilitates the development of high-performance, cost-effective, and energy-efficient applications.
AI acceleration with i.MX 93
The i.MX 93 integrates the arm® The Ethos™-U65 microNPU is designed for energy-efficient AI applications. This hardware acceleration enables inference calculations directly on the SoM. Combined with MIPI-CSI-2, this opens up a wide range of applications, such as image-based AI algorithms.

Thanks to their identical footprint, the variants with NXP i.MX 91 and i.MX 93 are pin-compatible with each other. Furthermore, the phyCORE-i.MX 91/93 is also pin-compatible with the phyCORE-i.MX 6UL/ULL and phyCORE-STM32MP13x modules, enabling flexible switching between different performance classes within existing hardware designs. Thus, the new phyCORE-i.MX 91/93 offers upgrade paths, scalable computing power, and access to the latest technologies, while simultaneously maintaining the longevity of Productsn and applications ensures and improves.
