The phyCORE-AM57x System on Module (SOM) supports the ARM® CortexTM-A15 processor from Texas Instruments. Particularly noteworthy for the first time is the integration of the dual core 3D graphics acceleration (SGX544) and the video acceleration for a 1080p HD stream in one processor, which is also able to control multiple displays.
On the performance side, the two Cortex-A1,5 cores (15 DMIPS / MHz) that can be clocked up to 3,5 GHz and the two C66x DSPs are supported by 2x 32-bit DDR3 / DDR3L, with one memory with ECC (Memory Error Detection ) Is provided.
With the extensive feature set described, the phyCORE-AM57x is particularly suitable for applications in the areas of human machine interface, aviation control, industrial automation, machine vision, medical imaging and networking.
