The VM-009 camera board is equipped with the Aptina MT9M131 color CMOS sensor.
This sensor has an integrated preprocessing (IFP - image flow processor), which enables image correction and enhancement.
The SOC architecture also enables the conversion of data formats. This means that six different 8-bit data formats are available.
The VM-009 supports the direct output of RGB and YUV formats. The output of the sensor-based Bayer pattern format is also possible.
This board can be connected directly to a parallel controller camera interface. For all base boards with a phyCAM-P connection (e.g. boards from the PXA and i.MX controller series), PHYTEC offers the option of connecting the sensor board directly via a cable. On the software side, the corresponding camera drivers and demo programs for various PHYTEC controller boards are provided directly in the BSP.
The camera board can be supplied in three different housing variants: As a sensor board, with an M12 lens holder or with a C / CS mount bracket.
